Review of A Most Violent Year (2014) by Devarrio R — 11 Feb 2015

This movie is as good as the critics say. . .at least so say I and four other Old Geezers Who Go To The Matinee Alone. Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain really score big here. The acting is terrific by everyone.

While there is some very explicit violence, it is the ominous undercurrent that really makes this work. Not a 'family' picture in most ways, but one I still strongly recommend.
