Review of A Most Violent Year (2014) by Pasha A — 18 Mar 2015
Well executed but not particularly exciting tale of blue collar organised crime. The film's central point of difference - the protagonist's belief that he can dabble in the world of the mob rather committing to it - is underplayed to the point that the film comes off as far more generic than it should.
