Review of A Most Violent Year (2014) by Charlie D — 03 Apr 2015
I have huge admiration for J.C Chandor after seeing all is lost, but this one is totally the opposite and not necessarily as good. The story and the main character were great, but the other characters just felt like background noise.
The other characters felt ludicrous in how they changed personalities every so often and it was just too jumbled up. While it was intriguing how one man was trying to be innocent whilst not being influenced by the criminals around him, it just didn't fit into place like it should.
