Along with Whiplash, this stands out as one of the best films last year and even more laudable is how assured it while side-stepping all the trite trappings of the crime-drama genre. Atmospheric, simmering and captivating.
Jessica Chastain is pure, guilty 'fun' as the supporting actor to an extremely competent Oscar Isaacson. To be honest, the only Chandor movie I have truly loved.
