Review of A Most Violent Year (2014) by Deep N — 24 May 2015
In one of the worst years for crime in New York City, a hispanic entrepreneur struggles with an ambitious new acquisition, the suspects of a district attorney and a gang that's robbing his trucks, all while managing a greedy wife.
Terse, focused, swift, a brillian drama that exploits every second it gets to build a story with splendidly acted characters. Directed with clarity and speed, cool but non obtrusive photography, a great style in cinematography.
Not to be missed.
