Review of A Most Violent Year (2014) by Ivan A — 06 Oct 2015
A real masterpiece in acting, the movie moves slow and deliberate but with a constant feeling of something is going to happen. The acting is the best part of the movie without a doubt and it is enough to keep you engaged.
It is an intelligent movie and it requires some thought oriented movie watching. Oscar needs to take a bow. The direction was spot on and the story was real. It wasn't over the top at all. It was believable and powerful.
A great movie overall.
