For a movie thats called a most violent year there isnt that much violence in the film.Oscar isaac and Jessica chastain do a good job with a forgetable supporting cast, I really liked the style and feel of the film and I really liked the setting 1980's new york.

Overall a most violent year is style over substance and some parts drag on for too long.
