Review of A Monster in Paris (2011) by Stoo B — 16 Feb 2012
Quirky animation about a giant flea with a beautiful singing voice hiding out in the (flooded) streets of Paris.
Paying homage to movies from the silent era as well as 'Phantom of the Opera', 'King Kong' and 'The Fly', it has an unusual stylish look to it all. There are some catchy tunes too that are perfectly suited to Vanessa Paradis & Sean Lennon's haunting voices.
What a shame then that it was all just very dull.
