Review of A Monster in Paris (2011) by Ted B — 07 Mar 2012
Rarely we see a CGI film from a forigen country at all. But Bibo Bergeron's A Monster In Paris is forigen CGi film from french and its one of the most original animated films since Rango. The film was a huge hit in France making millions. I see why. The story follows two mischeivious people Emile and Raoul who accidently fool around with chemicals. This causes a giant singing guitar playing flea to be made. The first 40 minutes feels mediocre with no surprises. Then at 45 minutes, something caught my attention. The monster flea could play guiitar and sing. This was remarkable. This lead to incredible musical numbers that have a great purpose of being here. After 45 minutes of mediocreness I loved this film. You will be routing for the flea throughout this whole film. France did something that no one has ever done before. WELL DONE!
96/100 A.
