A Monster in Paris is, hands down, one of the loveliest movies I've ever seen. It's quirky and interesting, with some surprises. The characters are quite true to life, the dialogue is fresh and amusing, and the story itself is just lovely - brisk but also sentimental.
There's plenty of action going on throughout, it isn't slow or boring anywhere, and the animation has been beautifully done. The soundtrack is gorgeous, with the main numbers delivered by Vanessa Paradis and Sean Lennon.
I always rate movies on a "buy" or "don't buy" basis for myself, and this is absolutely a 'buy' movie. I can't wait 'til it comes out on DVD.
