Though it teeters on stupidity, it's a kids movie, a fun one at that. It's like a juvenile mix between King Kong, Beauty and the Beast, and also the Hunchback of Notre Dame. The singing is well.
..bad, though, but it is a nice picture to watch, especially the nods to early French cinema. In all, Un Monstre a Paris (I learned French at school!) is a sweet film that is recommended for the family, though some might not get it's flow of slapstick and nearly-good jokes.
Enjoyable, to say the least.
