This film emotionally ripped my heart out. A Monster Calls was gripping from start to finish with smart story telling and a fantastic cast. Lewis MacDougall should be under awards consideration. This film surprisingly hasn't gotten the award worthy praise it so richly deserves.
My first 10 for a 2016 film comes in 2017, but the wait was well worth it.
