Review of A Monster Calls (2016) by Taylor M — 08 Mar 2017
A very nice coming-of-age/fantasy movie. I liked the story, about a Monster (Neeson) that visits a kid (Lewis MacDougall) every night to tell a story (3 stories, 3 nights - that by the way are very very nice), that somehow, are related to him.
The plot is good but it falls a little because it has to much dark and depressing tones in it (only reason why I don't give more stars). Admirable acting job from MacDougall, should deserve a nomination for an Oscar Teen Award, who in the film works like a battle between him and himself.
