Review of A Monster Calls (2016) by Solomon W — 10 Jan 2017

I read the book before I watched this and still loved it which doesn't happen very often. I enjoyed how the film was very quite most of the time letting you get a fill of what he as to go through without it telling you.

They kept all the key elements of the book but also added things that wasn't there in which I was surprised and I still enjoyed almost to the point that I wish it had been in the book as well. I didn't want to watch this at first because of the reviews I read but I'm glad they were wrong.

This was a touching and cinematically beautiful movie in which respected and added to the book it was made from.
