Review of A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014) by Matthew P — 05 Nov 2014
Typical MacFarlane fashion with over the top gags and jokes. Coupled with slightly inappropriate remarks that are suppose to be funny and fart jokes. There are some laughs in here, but the main difference between the success of a 30min family guy episode and a full length movie is at least an hour.
A full 60+ minutes of extra over the top moments that are only sometimes funny and no real plot to get you interested. Just not sure MacFarlane translates well to the big screen. (Ted was about the same.
Not terrible, but not great by any stretch.) I will give this the movie a little credit as the ending was a bit of a nice twist and enjoyable and there is one flashback omaj that I really enjoyed being a kid of the 80s.
Otherwise this movie is probably worth skipping.
