Review of A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014) by Bo L — 19 Nov 2014
Despite it not being as sharp and funny as "Ted" and "Family Guy", it however still carries MacFarlane's trademark humour including humourous rantings about society (this time the old west), shock humour, running gags and even toilet humour.
It does secure plenty of laughs interwoven in a more or less predictable story line. It is typical western stuff mixed with typical MacFarlane, running as a long Family Guy episode. MacFarlane is not as stiff as many will have you know, but not doubt his main talent is his voice.
Theron is lovely, very funny and has creat timing and chemistry with MacFarlane, Neeson is awesomely malicious and the rest of the cast is strong, all cast in the right roles. And while many of the best moments might have been spoiled by the trailers.
.. the addition of several more justifies seeing the film.
