Review of A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014) by Ian G — 30 Mar 2015
A Mel Brooks style movie for our generation. I wholeheartedly disagree with the critic consensus. There is a clear aim in the movie, and though the outrageously funny jokes are spaced out, it allows the film time for some heartwarming romance and character building.
I think our generation has just gotten used to the high speed jokes of movies like "Scary Movie," and miss the quality of this script. It is also very hard to make a comedy in a setting with no modern technology.
Our narcissistic millennial generation quickly loses interest when we aren't mirrored on-screen.
