Review of A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014) by Dan W — 07 Apr 2015
Of course it's a silly take on the Western genre, and oddly enough from a character who seems aware that he does not belong in the time and place, but the enjoyable moments are not from the storytelling or plot.
MacFarlane's bread & butter is his dialogue. He captures popular phrases and makes them comedic. It's the driving force behind his claim to fame Family Guy, and what drove his first movie Ted.
Surprisingly, Charlize matched up with Seth amazingly, and in some instances, they seemed like they were ad-libbing. Christopher Lloyd and Jamie Foxx actually make cute cameos, as well.
