Review of A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014) by Paul D — 27 Jul 2015
Ha Ha, I laughed, a little, I was bored, quite a bit. When it was funny, it was funny, when it wasn't, it realllllllllly wasn't. I don't get Seth MacFarlane's brand of humor, I don't watch Family Guy, so I shouldn't get it, but Ted, his other movie was very good so I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and the trailer made me laugh, but unfortunately, I didn't laugh at much more than the trailer with the exception of a few scenes with Neil Patrick Harris.
It seems like McFarlane wrote 5 or 6 jokes and enough material for about an hour and tried to spread it out over 2 hours, which rarely (if ever) works. Like I said, I laughed out loud when I did laugh, but I didn't laugh enough as I wanted to because the material fell flat for most of it.
But on the bright side, there are 2 cameos in this that are absolutely hilarious. Unfortunately I CANNOT RECOMMEND this as much as I wanted too, sorry.
