See, I find this funnier than Best In Show because I grew up with at least one parent who was into folk music, and it's ripe for lampooning. But even people who don't get all the side jokes about The New Christy Minstrels, and have never seen a "where are they now" folk legends concert on PBS should enjoy this, unless they are morons who nonny before they ninny.
