Christopher Guest & Eugene Levy continue to produce more enjoyably oddball comedy as well as a host of more fleshed-out characters that is the whole reason the film works beside the writing. Brilliant in-jokes such as Guest, McKean & Shearer (Spinal Tap), reforming as a three-piece country music group & as usual Fred Willard's insanely comic cameo, this is definitely Levy's best work when he's not appearing in such fodder as 'American Pie VII'.
