Review of A Mighty Wind (2003) by Caleb L — 08 Mar 2008
The equal of Spinal Tap. I like how a (somewhat deservedly maligned) music genre is spoofed. But the satire wouldn't work as well with the songs and the heart-touching subplot involing Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara as an Ian-and-Sylvia-esque folk duo.
The scene where they perform the duo's signature ballad during the film's climax is sweetly gentle and moving.
