Playing as a "documentary" of a significant event in folk music, A Mighty Wind creates an environment that feels real, yet seems absolutely ridiculous. A Mighty Wind is a part of a series of "mockumentaries" that "educate" the people on obscure events.
Every characters' quirkiness is seen throughout this movie, from Fred Willard's nonsensical scene about his 70s TV show flop "Wha Happened?" to the strange unrequited love between Mitch and Mickey.
