Review of A Man Named Pearl (2006) by Ahr Z — 21 Feb 2010
This movie makes you realize that doing something simple, repeatedly, consistently over a long period of time is just as profound as any magnificent work or art or heroic gesture. This movie provides a good profile of a man who has created his own sculpted garden with no formal instruction.
Whatever recognition he's garnered, he's turned into support for children's groups and education of young people. One realizes that to be remarkable, we don't need to have an oversized personality.
