Review of A Man for All Seasons (1966) by Geir F — 12 Aug 2007
A wonderful film that is moving and exquisitely written. Paul Scofield owns the film especially in the second half but the entire cast was outstanding. Robert Shaw was great as Henry VIII and I wish he had more scenes in the film.
Thomas More as depicted here is a man of strong moral value among those who have little value in anything except power. The film makes a good point about what it means to have good character and the nature of politics.
