Review of A Man Apart (2003) by Dave W — 24 Sep 2009
Sadly this is one of Diesels better films. A Man Apart is decent but breaks no new ground as an actioner flick. Very sub par stuff here with a story we've seen too many times in film. It was however watchable and that is saying something for a Diesel film.
Diesel does try to break the mold for himself by shying away from the usual typecast silent man on a mission and takes a stab at acting...With Words!! in the end Larenz tate takes the award here as he could have been the star of this film himself.
For the most part Vin Diesel delivers the goods and you like him in this but A man Apart is an action flick at it's heart. Recommended if nothing is better on the rental shelf.
