Review of A Love Song for Bobby Long (2004) by Gwen A — 28 May 2007
I finally got a chance to catch this on IFC, and I was pleasantly blown away. What a fantastic piece of storytelling this is. The characters are amazing and the writing is superb. Scarlett Johansson gives a brilliant performance, Gabriel Macht is wonderful as the aspiring writer/protege, and those who doubt John Travolta's acting ability should check this out.
A moving tale of abandonment, bitterness, tragedy, regret, loss, family, love, and faith.
