Review of A Love Song for Bobby Long (2004) by Faith W — 27 Nov 2007
I loved this movie. One because I love literature and am an English teacher. Two because of my own Southern heritage. Three because I've been to New Orleans a couple times, and it gives you an appreciation to see cities you're familiar with in a a movie.
Four and most importantly because it's a journey of life from the dark into the light. It's about forgiveness and redemption and second chances. It's gritty but real. The characters are all imperfect and human.
It's just a great film. I think everyone should see it when they're ready to see it.
