Review of A Love Song for Bobby Long (2004) by Kyle W — 08 Dec 2007
A great film with star talent all around. scarlett johansson and gabriel macht are truely spectacular in a love song for bobby long. the only reason in my eyes that someone could not like this was because of john travolta.
don't get me wrong he did a good job, but to me it seemed he tried too hard to grip the role of a southern man who was poor, greedy and sick. some people would agree he was amazing, but I think he pushed it instead of making the role a part of him.
anywho..the capture of new orleans and the southern lifestyle was artistically beautidul. the raw emotion of all 3 stars were chilling and brilliant. every individuals life and emotion triggered another character and ended with three fierce emotions becoming one, and that's the day they bacame a family.
such a great film. I could watch this over and over again. why wouldn't I for scarletts bathroom scene ; ).
