Review of A Love Song for Bobby Long (2004) by Jennifer E — 28 Jun 2009
This is one of those movies that I have to watch at least once every summer. The story is slow moving, but keep in pace with the nature of the world it is portraying. Great performances from all the main actors, but John Travolta steals the show with this uncharacteristically complex portrayal of the life-loving yet disappointed southern poet, Bobby Long.
Not a movie for everyone, but worth a watch if you have a deep rooted love for southern stories and characters.
