Review of A Lot Like Love (2005) by Suman S — 28 Sep 2010
A story a bout a fling that starts as that and after various encounters during a 6-7 year period the best friends notice one of them notices that there much more than that.
And that is where the movie is lacking, the in-depth of the characters is just hollow, of course, the moments presented give you some hints to them but it's not enough the key moments tend to lack the depth that such a situation would commend, in example.
*SPOILER WARNING*.
The ending, just a hug and kiss after all the hell and time Ollie went by. It does not do justice.
*SpoilerENDS*.
There are others, which case I wont mention because I do think this is a very good movie and would gladly watch it a second time, but not a third.
Overall, the acting and concept of the story are very good, but the development of such has it's pot holes, but please dont let me hold back. Therefore I give this movie 3/5. (Ashton Kutcher as Ollie, Amanda Peet as Emily).
