Review of A Lonely Place to Die (2011) by Matthew M — 08 Sep 2011
The scenary was beautiful, and I was really intrigued by the plot when I read about it. Sadly the screenplay was abhorrent. I couldn't believe how quickly the film descended from an initial creepiness into utter farce.
There's way too many silly sub-plots, and the post-wilderness scene is a disaster in more ways than one. There's also no depth to any of the characters. You don't particularly care for the wellbeing of the good guys, and that's pretty indefensible for a film of this nature.
