Review of A Lonely Place to Die (2011) by Matt T — 09 Sep 2011
And the cinema was a lonely place to watch this film - it was nearly empty. This is a rather bleak film based in the Scottish Highlands. A group of mountaineers stumble across a little girl who has been kidnapped. They flee the kidnappers with predictable results, and end up in a town that resembles something from the Wicker Man. Those Scots know how to party.
Melissa George proves without a doubt that she couldn't act her way out of a paper bag, but the scenery is nice, and there are a few tense moments. If I were the kidnappers though - I would invest in some decent guns. The ones they have seemed to jam at the worse moments!
