Review of A Lonely Place to Die (2011) by Shaun M — 10 Sep 2011
This is a good solid thriller. Five mountaineers convene in the highlands and end up embroiled in a kidnapping plot featuring deranged locals & dangerous precipices. While the pace is relentless and the cinematography superb, I was expecting a much better pay off in the final act, but this seemed to descend into an all out cat n' mouse action fest losing most of the emotional connnection with the characters that was set up in the early stages of the film.
Still, this is an above average action thriller with some unexpected twists.
