Review of A Lonely Place to Die (2011) by Davin G — 20 Jan 2013
A decent British thriller which is reminiscient of 'Deliverence' and other wilderness horror stories. The climbing sequences are full of tension and once the shooting starts it's non-stop action.
A shame the ending in the village slows the proceedings down too much (the film had more tension in the wild) but it's well acted, especially by George and Harris, and if the ending is pretty predictable (it's clear who will survive to the end at the very beginning) that doesn't negate all the efforts prior to that.
