Review of A Lonely Place to Die (2011) by Roxanne R — 02 Jan 2014
Spellbinding and riveting! An indy film available in HD on Netflix instant streaming yes!! The rock climbing scenes can induce vertigo to some viewers and I noticed on the credits this movie was partly filmed on a Canon 5D and they used mountain climbing experts to provide crucial realism to the storyline and what a story film aficionados.
One of the few times I agree with ALL the critics!! Stunning landscape, fierce chasing scenes along the woods and indeed the fast paced momentum will engross the viewer. The acting was very good. We have a group of experienced hikers and mountain climbers in the Scottish Highlands that discover a chamber in the woods.
Upon opening it, a young girl is found inside, hungry and scared. As they attempt to save her, they get caught in a terrifying and unforgettable game of survival that will not only test their mettle but their moral compass as well.
BRAVO to Julian Gilbey the co-writer and director of this suspenseful action thriller. This is one of those instances I call a Pyrrhic Victory, you will understand the term once you watch the film. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
