Not as bad as people may think, the movie has some fine performances fro Hudson, Kathy Bates, Whoopi Goldberg. The Movie never says that dying from Cancer is fun, but the choice to take life with humor and dignity, isn't such a bad idea, I understand the concerns regarding it and the character's denial of giving into sadness and dispair and the denial of embracing love at the same moment, just made the movie more interesting than the average "Disease of the Week" Movie.
