Review of A Life Less Ordinary (1997) by Kevin D — 29 Jul 2012
Vivid, but a total waste. It's hard to empathize with McGregor's pathetic shlub (maybe in part because his roamnce-obsessed sap is not believably pathetic), but it's impossible to invest in Diaz, a glowering ice queen who delights in menacing everyone, even children, with guns.
You don't want them to have a happily ever after. You want them to get the Bonnie and Clyde treatment, preferably in the first reel.
