Review of A League of Their Own (1992) by Kristina K — 21 Feb 2010
Two stars (Has redeeming facet): Funny, endearing movie about women's professional baseball, a subject oft-ignored in discussions of the great American pasttime. Manages to show a true love for the game, which is a plus, and the performances are great all around, but it drifts rather heavily into sentimentality; the central conflict between Davis and Petty fails to convince.
Good advice: Avoid the clap!
