Review of A Late Quartet (2012) by Barrett L — 12 Mar 2013
Gifted with powerful a few powerful actors and burdened with a couple mediocre ones, 'A Late Quartet' abruptly, and awkwardly varies it's tone throughout. It displays (what turns out to be) a crippling fear of allowing its 'A' story to play out, and instead struggles to find something else to say during its wasteful 'B' and 'C' stories.
More painful than a bad movie, 'A Late Quartet' is a frustrating... waste.
