'A Knight's Tale' rocks as the Middle Ages just got a little better! Set in 14th-century Europe, jousting is everyone's favorite recreational activity that is also the medieval times equivalent of playing/watching football or soccer. Only the nobility can joust. But here in the movie, William, who is a peasant with a talent for jousting, has to break the rules. He hits the road with his cohorts Roland and Wat, stumble with writer Chaucer, and of course, joust at competitions. It is definitely hilarious that Will gets to assume the noble name of Sir Ulrich Von Lichtenstein and convince Chaucer to forge genealogy documents that will pass Will as a knight. 'A Knight's Tale' really makes a good depiction of medieval life, including that of the clothing of both the nobility and the peasants as well as the knight armor designs. Also, all of its action and drama is very good, and I definitely enjoyed it.

Inspired by "The Canterbury Tales" and directed by Brian Helgeland, "A Knight's Tale" features good acting performances from the following cast:

1.) Heath Ledger (William Thatcher).

2.) Mark Addy (Roland).

3.) Rufus Sewell (Count Adhemar).

4.) Paul Bethany (Chaucer).

5.) Alan Tudyk (Wat).

6.) Shannyn Sossamon (Jocelyn).

I definitely love the film's music here. 'A Knight's Tale' has an anachronistic yet hilarious soundtrack that features 20th-century rock music from artists such as Queen, War, David Bowie, and AC/DC. The beginning scenes with everyone's favorite rock anthem "We Will Rock You" really gets me into the beat...we will, we will rock you!

Not only that I'm going to remember 'A Knight's Tale' for its featured rock music, but I'm also going to remember it for first seeing the late and legendary Heath Ledger on film during my first DVD viewing of it in 2003. This is a very good movie that is of interest of everyone to watch, including those who like history. Check it out.
