Review of A Knight's Tale (2001) by Baurushan J — 14 Jun 2013
The story is about a young knight-wannabe named William Thatcher played by the late Heath Ledger who has dreamed of becoming a knight since he was a little boy. Having not won a single jousting match, he proves time and time again that he will one day be a knight.
With the help of his friends, Will gets ready to finally impress his father and prove that he's not a squire and is a knight. Taking place during the Canterbury era, people who dislike this movie call this film "Rocky on horseback".
Yes there are similarities to Rocky in this film but this is a new spin on those going-for-victory stories and in no hell is it near Rocky! Some hate the modern-day rock music in the soundtrack. NEWS FLASH: This is a comedy! Who cares about the modern soundtrack?! It's supposed to be lively any-fucking-way! The rest hate this movie for it's historical inaccuracies.
God how many times do we have to bitch and moan about you lot bitching and moaning about this subject? It's pointless! This movie whilst being a good film needs support from the audience because it has received a bit too much criticism.
A Knight's Tale gets a solid 8/10.
