Review of A Knight's Tale (2001) by Brian S — 08 Oct 2011
So while one part of me really likes the concept of "14th century underdog sports movie," another part is weirded out by peasants singing Queen and nobles dancing to David Bowie. much as I love the soundtrack, it's a pretty strange anachronism.
the historical accuracy is pretty suspect as well (no kidding??), but that's usually something only picky history buffs like me notice. the characters are stock, the plot is thin, the love story is incredibly cornball, and the writing is only mildly clever, but it still all manages to be entertaining.
