Review of A Knight's Tale (2001) by Adam S — 20 Mar 2014

I really liked this film when I first saw it years ago, but I think it works better as a nostalgic experience than rewatching it.

"A Knights Tale" tells the story of a peasant who wants to participate in the joust, so poses as a knight. Featuring notable actors such as Heath Ledger, Paul Bettany and Mark Addy, who do a servicable job, although they are very much just going through the motions compared to their best work, this film combines modern pop culture references with medieval scenes.

While many aspects are fun, it doesn't hold up as well as it could, and is only notable now due to the huge following of the late Ledger.
