Review of A Kind of Loving (1962) by Karen F — 08 Jun 2009
I love these old 60s dramas, and this is one of the best ones. It's hard to know who to feel most sympathy for - Vic, trapped into marriage, or Ingrid, who used sex not to trap Vic, but to try to make him love her. Ingrid's mother is the final straw - and Thora Hird plays her so well.
The morals may be a little dated, but the humanity of the relationships isn't.
