Running time approximately 1 hour 37 minutes.
With his epitome-of-perfection performance in A Home at the End of the World, Colin Farrell has proven himself as one of our very best actors. He is delicately restrained and assured, yet very guarded and surreptitiously forlorn. He has created a fascinating character with this performance, a character who we understand and even, on some level, relate to. In fact, throughout the film, I kept on wishing for my lookout on life to somehow be instantly converted to mirror his. This is a wonderful film, compassionate and affecting, with a wonderfully well written screenplay and an Oscar-calibur performance from one of the most underappreciated actors around. ***1/2 (out of ****) A-.
