Review of A Home at the End of the World (2004) by Will N — 04 Jan 2008
One of those movies I can't get enough with. Colin Farrell is amazing as the vulnerable Bobby and I really wish Sissy Spacek's Alice was my mom. The character of Alice changed from the film for the better, but the ending for the film is much more powerful than the book.
Had almost wished the book's ending had been used as it's cruel to have you fall in love with a vibrant, alive character only to see their decline by film's end. Cunningham is a brilliant novelist and screenwriter!
