Review of A Home at the End of the World (2004) by Dave M — 26 Mar 2008
A great little character piece. loses a star for including a sub plot that I hoped they would avoid as its become cliche, won't say what it is here to avoid spoilers, and it needs an extra quarter hour.
The young cast were fantastic and when Colin Farrell stepped in to the main characters shoes I was worried that the film was going to plummet. Initially my worries appeared to be confirmed, but he turns in a very nuanced performance. Great stuff. Same goes for the rest of the cast, but he was my main worry.
