Review of A Home at the End of the World (2004) by Steve S — 23 May 2010
***1/2 (out of four).
An underrated independent film that features a great performance from Colin Farrell and nice even handed script.
Colin Farrell and Dallas Roberts play childhood friends who grow close as they reach their teen years. They lose track of each other for several years after high school graduation. In the early 1980's they again find each other when Bobby (Farrell) moves to New York and moves in with his friend.
The film touches on many adult themes and tells portrays them in a nice realistic manner. As mentioned, Farrell shines in his role.
