Review of A Hologram for the King (2016) by Scott H — 02 May 2016
With a cliche plot it does nothing new and basically assumes we will care about what happens because it stars Tom Hanks, who phones in the performance and basically is just himself. I found its handling of feminism interesting near the end, but it's too slow-moving with a rushed ending to feel as poignant as it thinks it is.
